Job Description

We are planning to upgrade our PC platform form Windows/XP to Windows 7. Details haven't been assessed yet but the project probably will launch from Apr. 2012. Based on our migration experience from Windows/NT (VB 6.0) to Windows XP (.Net Framework), we are estimating this effort may require two additional programmers.

The Programmers are responsible for the analysis, enabling Windows 7 environment of our in-house applications. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, a user-service orientation, familiarity with the team decision-making process and excellent problem-solving abilities. Financial industry experience is plus.

(B) Maintain issues list and facilitate resolution of issues.

Qualifications

Skills, knowledge, and level of experience required to perform this duty

(A) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field

(B) At least2 years experience programming in VB.NET Framework, VBA and SQL.

(C) Experience working on similar conversion project is plus.

(D) Proven experience writing system documentation (design, test plans, test execution, implementation plans and implementation execution).

(E) Ability to troubleshoot applications and identify root cause of defect

(F) Excellent written and verbal communication

(G) Knowledge:

OS: Windows XP and Windows 7

Programming Language: Microsoft VB.NET Framework/VBA

RDBMS: ODBC, Oracle, SQL Server

MS/Office 2003 and 2010
