Business Configuration Project Manager

Job Description:

The role of the project manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to schedule and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Essential Functions:
Develops & manages project plans, including defining deliverables, key milestones & critical path
Facilitates planning with business configuration stakeholders
Develops project outcome success measures
Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns project roles
Identifies and works to mitigate project issues, dependencies, constraints, and risks
Balances project schedules, scope and budget - renegotiates with program and stakeholders as necessary
Formulates project methodologies and communication plans
Facilitates improvement efforts and develops implementation recommendations
Develops models to project impact of projects on resources
Facilitates collaboration with diverse groups and individuals to influence strategic planning & execution
Develops, maintains & effectively manages client relationships at all levels across the organization
Communicates and presents project status to a variety of audiences
Acts as primary project contact for operational managers
Acts as primary contact for stakeholders, partners & customers regarding project estimating, delivery, user acceptance testing & release management/planning
Influences & makes recommendations to senior management regarding complex projects
Understands and applies knowledge of change management process on projects

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum Five years Project Management experience
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and project scheduling methods
Strong and effective communication skills
Ability to lead geographically-dispersed teams
Understand all project life cycle phases and applies knowledge in the delivery of at least one phase of the project delivery life cycle
20% travel required
