My Dublin based client currently requires an experienced Business Analyst to join their team for an initial 6 month contract with a view to extension
Assignment objectives
- Perform Business Analysis activities (ie requirement gathering, create requirements specifications, workshop facilitation, interviews, business process design, reports design and business process modelling)
- Ability to elicit information from other stakeholders as required - eg external vendors/other project workstreams/domains/SME groups, etc.
- Ability to deal with highly complex and sometimes ambiguous business requirements
- Prioritising business requirements and influencing business users in making decisions.
- Produce functional specifications and ensure that client's high-level business requirements have been understood by the development teams
- Extremely thorough approach to completion of documentation and diligence about updating this as changes occur that affect it
- Ability to produce data mapping documents
- Support UAT
- Complete peer reviews of other analysis outputs
Additional information:
- 5+ years financial services business analysis experience, with at least 2 of these in electronic payments
The following would be a significant advantage in this role:
- SEPA knowledge/experience,
- Knowledge of the Fundtech GPP application,
- Working knowledge of credit transfers
- Knowledge of SWIFT, BACS or EFT
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
- High levels of commitment and energy, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to multi task on various assignments
- Good listening and questioning skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS-EXCEL, VISIO and data analysis techniques
