My Dublin based client currently requires an experienced SEPA Business Consultant to join their team for an initial 6 month contract with a view to extension.

The successful candidate will be required to identify and develop SEPA Scheme and related PSD business requirements and engage with the company's payment programmes and projects. Provide payments expertise and insight towards supporting the company's strategic objective to compete as a mid-tier European payments institution in the Payments business. Provide SEPA payments scheme subject matter expertise on all aspects of designing and developing the company's SEPA service offering. Facilitate, participate and lead the business design solutions as part of the end to end delivery of SEPA projects. Represent business and senior management with internal and external stakeholders, clients and participate as required at payments industry.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate and maintain specialist payment knowledge and expertise in relation to key Payments products, schemes and services.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership/Industry best practice guidance on key payments developments such as SEPA, PSD, EBA & STEP 2 obligations.
  • Proactively assess the impact of future legislation and regulation and external market requirements to input into the decision-making and business strategy in order to maintain compliance, limit risks to the business whilst remaining competitive.
  • Lead, coach and mentor business subject matter experts as required to actively participate and develop SEPA requirements, business design and operational solutions to meet SEPA and other payment scheme requirements.
  • Ensure Group Payments SEPA business requirements and solution designs meet stakeholder and customer needs from service, fulfilment, regulatory and compliance perspectives.
  • Provide SEPA expertise, consultancy/support and advice to both internal customers/stakeholders and external customers.
  • Provide input, guidance and participate in developing SEPA customer migration strategies, product/service offerings and communications plans.
  • Support and develop business communications and engagement with stakeholders/project members with relevant information.
  • Work effectively with Group Change Management, Group IT and wider third party Programme teams to ensure requirements and implemented solutions meet business and Customer needs
