Summary:
This is an 8 - 18 month contract opportunity with a Marietta/Smyrna Global organization. Our client has maintained consistent growth and stability because of their diversified portfolio of products. They are looking for a Citrix Engineer to add to their team. They have a culture of fun teams with seasoned professionals who are talented, corporate and knowledgeable. They are hard workers but this is not a sweat shop or micromanagement environment at all! You will provide telephone and Internet support to customers who have questions or issues related to Citrix XenApp 6.5 and XenDesktop support. Collaborate with other technical groups to quickly resolve technical issues. This is a can't miss opportunity with an INDUSTRY LEADER, headquartered in Atlanta.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, track, and document customer support calls and related activities in incident management system
  • Effectively document issues/feedback from customers for use in research and resolution of defects
  • Develop documentation for troubleshooting steps and common solutions to frequent calls for use by customers and peers

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Citrix XenApp and MS Terminal Server
  • Working knowledge of configuring MS Outlook with IMAP/POP/Exchange Servers
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of basic standard software such as: MS Office suites, Adobe suites, multiple Windows OS platforms
  • Experience with remote assistance tools
  • General desktop IT skills including printing, scanning, software installation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic networking concepts and terminology
  • Strong and articulate telephone personality and the ability to create rapport
  • Ability to work within coverage expectations of Support department
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback. Effectively presents and explains information to various group sizes and levels of knowledge

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience working in a support call center or desktop IT support center
  • Intermediate understanding of DNS and DNS record management
  • Server Administration Certification or equivalent experience (MCP, MCDST, MCSA or MCSE certification)
  • Citrix CCA certification
  • Other non-Microsoft certification
