We are currently Looking for somebody to join our Clients Fun and Exciting Environment as a Senior System administration. This person will have great communication skills and also has the ability to think independently.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for analysing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems. Interface with software development team and provide Windows, Linux and Web systems and services as required. Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data centre environments. Performing routine audits of systems and software. Performing backups and restores. Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Installing and configuring new hardware and software. Responsibility for security of websites and systems.

Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system. Troubleshooting any reported problems. Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running Systems architecture. Maintain and operate all Linux and Web systems (Tomcat and Apache) and MySQL databases. Supporting AD: DHCP and DNS in a mixed environment, GPOs, NIS, etc. Serve as main technical POC for various hardware, software and services contacts (Co-lo site, server/storage vendors, etc).Manage VMware environment. Manage storage environment. Actively pursue environment enhancements to improve security, stability, efficiency, performance, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Enterprise level in Microsoft and UNIX
  • Experience within use of Red Hat.
  • Maintain an 80+ server farm with load balancing, backups, and disaster recovery and data maintenance.
  • Database administration & tuning. MSSQL, MySQL and Sybase
  • CVS/Subversion Admin.
  • Experience working in a process and policy driven environment (change control, ITIL/COBIT, etc)
  • Network & System Security. Enterprise level network/system security experience is a must.
  • Redundancy and/or replication experience.
  • MS Exchange experience, Share point and Windows server 2008
  • Web development experience. Pearl, BASH or other languages
  • Experience supporting mobile services, Social App Development, SMS integration
  • Experience in a mixed OS environment
  • Certifications (MS, Red Hat, Cisco, VMware, Security and/or Storage)
