QA Analyst- Job Title: Quality Assurance - QA Analyst - 3 Month Contract

DESCRIPTION:
The current process is that Engineering (Development) completes their testing and passes the latest release to QA for Functional testing based on the provided documentation. Once functional tests have passed then the latest release goes for 14 days of testing using simulators and real manufacturing machines. The 14 day test covers stress testing and regression testing. It is then sent to Field Services for a final test prior to release to the customers.
The client requires a QA analyst to work using the process listed above. ie complete the functional testing and coordinate the release into the stress test. They will need to raise and document issues as well as triage issues raised by users. The QA analyst would work under the QA Manager's coordination. It is understood that there is a learning curve although there are training CDs available to assist.
Requirements:
Skills:
- Write and execute testcases for functionality
- Document the testcases in MS TFS (Team Foundation Server)
- Execute the testcases as required to test functionality
- Record defects in the defect tracking system.
- Track the issues until resolved.
- Retest any outstanding issues.
- .NET
- SQL Server 2008, writing SQL queries
- Prepare status reports for QA Manager
- Experience with manufacturing would be an asset
