Description
Front End Java Developer required for a prestigious client in Madrid. This is an English speaking project.
Position Requirements
- Design and implement HTML5 based web/mobile application framework.
- Work closely with product and design teams
- Debug and enhance existing web apps
- Create clean, standards-compliant, well-tested code
- Actively participate in daily scrum meetings
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- 4+ years Java development experience
- 4+ years of UI development experience
- 2+ years of mobile specific web application experience
- Strong team player with good English written and verbal communication skills. Position will report to English-speaking Project Manager.
- Deep experience with HTML5/CSS3/Javascript. Experience with multi-touch web browsers, using gesture-based navigation is strongly preferred.
- Moderate to expert knowledge in AJAX, JSON and data driven JavaScript applications
- Cross-browser/platform experience
- Familiar with JSON, Javascript, Ajax
- Familiar with Spring or other MVC framework
- JUnit or other Unit Testing framework. Experience working using TDD (Test Driven Development) is a plus.
Preferred Skills (desirable - not essential):
- Previous experience with Phonegap or other mobile app framework
- Experience with GIT, Maven & Jenkins
- Familiar with Agile (Scrum) methodology
- Experience with iOS or Android application development or Java Server Side programming is a plus
