Our client is the world's leading computer component company seeking an Engineer with Xen/KVM virtualization expertise for a terrific contract opportunity. Working remotely is an option for this position.
OVERVIEW:
1. Xen nested virtualization stabilization: Candidate will work to improve the stability of current Xen upstream to be able to run nested Xen and KVM stably on top of client platform using virtualization technology, including supporting popular Linux/Windows distribution and supporting Xen/KVM/VMware/Microsoft Hyper-V.
2: Xen nested virtualization feature enhancement: Candidate will contribute to the enhancement of Xen nested virtualization with Virtual EPT feature. The work should present guest with virtual EPT, so that the guest VMM can take the advantage of EPT, when the physical platform has EPT hardware.
The candidate will be expected to not only do internal development, but also work with Xen community closely to get the patchset accepted into Xen upstream.
REQUIREMENTS:- C programming skills
- Linux Kernel development experience
- Virtualization development experience (eg Xen/KVM)
- Open source work experience
- Must be able to work productively with minimal supervision
