General Responsibilities:
· Candidate will work on a very senior level team of Engineers responsible for the design and implementation of a Multitenant Enterprise Cloud infrastructure across many data centers.
· Hands-on experience of data center solution elements including server platforms, access layer, virtualization, storage and applications.
· Proven ability in taking use case scenarios and architecting compelling solutions with differentiation where applicable.
· Will act as the technical interface on customer sales calls, when required, and assist in preparing responses to customer questions and requests for information.
· Candidate should be a team player interested in fostering innovation within the group.
Required Skills:
· Experience with design and configuration of Cisco UCS and vBlock/Flexpod build outs is preferred but not required.
· Thorough understanding of networking technologies around Data Center virtualization required; VRF’s, VPC’s, FCoE, Multi-Context, VSS. Experiences with Cisco Nexus platforms is preferred.
· Candidates should have experience supporting firewalls in large enterprise environments and configuring IPSEC based VPN’s.
· Thorough understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP,BGP,Static) and NATing specifically around VRF-Lite implementations supporting multiple tenants.
· Experience with configuring Nexus 1kv and troubleshooting network issues at the VM level.
· Working knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery architectures and processes.
· Knowledge of virtualization technologies in both the server and the networ k.
· Experience working for or in a Service Provider environment is preferred.
Desired professional certifications:
· VMWare Certified Professional
· Cisco Certified Network Professional
· Cisco Certified Internet Expert
· College Degree in a technical field preferred.
