An excellent opportunity has arisen working for a Major Banking Organisation of ours for a Financial Accountant.
The Client is looking for someone who will complete a full range of Core Accounting processes to ensure that the Core Accounting team achieves its month end deadlines by ensuring that all accounting entries are posted accurately and on time.
Prepare, post and reconcile all relevant accounting entries
Complete ad hoc analysis and journal entries as required
Responsible for the preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts in an accurate and timely manner, as required by the audit timetable.
Provide detailed information for Internal and External Audit and promote the strong control environment and build good relationships throughout.
Maintain adequate audit trail and documentation (desktops) and work towards improving controls and efficiency of processes involved in.
Involvement in accounting projects as required.
Make recommendations for process efficiencies and implement change.
Proactively seek to expand understanding of other roles within the team by completing side-by-sides and providing cover.
Progress towards Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
