My client is one of Australia's most recognised brands with a national presence in the retail space offering an average of 5million+ customers over 80,000 products. Currently we have a unique opportunity to join my clients Customer Engagement Team as a Customer Insight Analyst.

You will analyse transactional customer data from the corporate divisions and help to optimise the business processes based on your results. you'll use your statistical knowledge of advanced analytics and conduct analysis to segment customers or measure promotional effectiveness and deliver valuable and actionable customer insights to support strategic decisions across the business.

We also are seeking international candidates for this position; Paxus can take care of all VISA requirements to get you over here to Sunny Sydney.

To be considered for this position you should have the following skills/experience:

Skills & Background

  • A strong knowledge and experience in writing code, ideally SAS and SQL or similar Scripting language to interrogate large & complex data sets, eg SPSS, R, STATISTICA or GAUSS
  • Experience in the area of multivariate statistics and forecasting modelling, eg Data Mining, Database Marketing
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of retail businesses principles and processes (ideally in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry).
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to translate a business problem into an analysis framework
  • Strong communicator for stakeholder management
  • Independent, structured, results-oriented and pragmatic working style.
Qualifications & Experience
  • We are looking for a creative thinker, someone who is able to look into the minds of customers & translate this into logistical & workable business solutions.
  • YOU will have enthusiasm for the retail industry, how it is changing & how consumers purchase products.
  • A University graduate in a numerate or analytical discipline (eg Science, Mathematics, Statistics)
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in retail or similar relevant industry.
  • Understanding of OLAP CUBE (Online Analytical Processing) or similar multi-dimensional data analysis ie; Data Mining
  • Over time this role will merge into either a 2IC or full management position.
