Service Transition Build Project Manager - London - 3 month contract - £315 per day

The Service Transition Build Project Manager is responsible for receiving, qualifying and executing various types of build initiatives as the part of End to End provisioning to support the bank.

The position is responsible for interfacing with various Service Providers and tools to ensure proper progression in order to meet committed delivery dates.

The ability to utilize all methods of communication is necessary considering some of the resources may be offshore or delivered as part of a service.

Quality professional communication and behaviour is expected at all times when managing the project portfolio.

The Transition Manager is expected to maintain a high level of detail and accuracy when maintaining metrics as it relates to their provisioning portfolio.

Flexible work hours are also a requirement as the hours can often be off business hours in order to facilitate communications and troubleshooting with off shored teams.

Technical Project management experience is a requirement with a focus on Matrix and virtual team management.

Expertise in Datacenter infrastructure provisioning is required with experience in Project Planning.

Overall, the candidate must be proactive, professional, an excellent communicator, detail oriented, diligent, entrepreneurial, and a strong multi-tasker.

The role is accountable to ensure that requests are completed within agreed timelines and meet or exceed client satisfaction objectives, whilst providing support to the IES Delivery teams and ensure successful activation or decommissioning.

Objectives:

Successfully delivery and management of business request for service (RFS)

Deliverables:

Some critical elements of the STM role include:

Project Management
Data Management
Project team Management
Regular reporting on portfolio health
Problem solving and conflict resolution
Facilitate communication forums: Emails, meetings, Web conferences, etc.
Provide input for service improvement
Drive progress amidst challenges and roadblocks

Skills

Skill Type: Program and Project Management
ITIL Foundation knowledge would be a benefit
PMP Certification or equivalent project management experience in a large volume organization
Previous Service Delivery experience 4 - 6 Years
Previous Project Management/planning Experience - 4 -6 years
Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume high pressure portfolio
Willingness to work non-traditional hours to get the job done.
Attention to details when managing a complex tool landscape
Motivated to work without direction and be a team contributor as needed.
