Are you a Technical Business Analyst with solid experience in the financial sector? If the answer is yes, one of Australia's largest finance companies is looking for you...

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in the migration of financial products to new enhanced systems. This is 6 month initial contract, but the project is scheduled to last for at least 12 months.

Your role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in system processes, and develop expertise in systems and processes  
  • Develop and leverage working relationships with key business and technical stakeholders
  • Provide client support, consultancy, and guidance when required to ensure internal clients receive superior client service
  • Understand and conform to group wide standards for Project Management and delivery
  • Produce quality technical analysis covering complex data, complex data mapping, process and process mapping
  • Produce functional  technical specifications for system development
  • Produce and undertake high quality testing plans and documentation
  • Work closely with business analysts, sales and sales support staff, credit, compliance and operations staff to understand business requirements, and to ensure that understanding is faithfully translated to functional and technical specifications
  • Work closely with developers and testers to ensure their understanding of and compliance with functional and technical requirements
  • Pro-actively identify and resolve technical and business problems to meet deadlines and expected outcomes
  • Lead or participate as a proactive team member to own and deliver assigned project work through the full development cycle
You should have the following skills and experience:

-   MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH Oracle PLATFORMS
-   3-5 years experience in a Technical Business Analyst role 
-   Demonstrated ability to identify, define, refine, and manage business       requirements using a variety of methods 
-   Demonstrated ability to successfully undertake reconciliation tasks 
-   Experience in defining information, presenting and facilitating workshops/meetings both formal and informal 
-   Demonstrated ability to define the impacts to the business of the proposed solution and how it will be mitigated
-   Experience of all stages of the project life cycle 
-   Carrying out design, construction, review and defect analysis activities
-   Responsible for database design and development and Application Tuning
-   Extensive experience Oracle PL/SQL
-   Oracle, SQL, AQ, ESQL, PL/SQL, database design and tuning
-   Knowledge of Object Orientated Analysis and design techniques
-   Experience of Oracle application interfaces including OCCI, OCI, ESQL, PROC, SQL Loader
-   Desirable - Experience in consulting, specifically the ability to assess potential solutions and provide alternatives 
-   Desirable - Sound knowledge of project management methodology
