Description
Our Government department requires 7 additional case officers to work on Counter Terrorism Checks and Security Clearance checks. The Case Officer role is a primarily clerical position.
The successful candidates will need to:
Answer customer telephone enquiries; Distribute the mail that comes into the section; Enter new cases on our IT database; Operate third party checking databases; Liaise with colleagues on borderline cases.
The successful candidate will require the following skills:
Good IT skills, ie reasonably competent copy typist/quick to learn new IT systems; Good written and oral communication skills; Good customer engagement skills; Team working skills; Time management skills. As this is for government, security clearance to SC level will be required so if not already cleared, will need to be vetted. Please state on application if you are cleared already or happy to undergo. Public sector/government experience is desirable.
