Vendor Manager - 6 Month Contract - Based in Staines

My client who are Top 25 FTSE 100 Company have an urgent requirement for a Vendor Manager to join their Supplier Relationship Management Team.

Key Skills:

* Vendor Manager with a proven track record in the area of Supplier Relationship management. Capable of developing strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers in order to grow and develop strategic relationships to be benefit of the entire organisation.
* The role will report into the Supplier Relationship Management area.

Role Profile:
1. Planning
* Responsible for prioritising and managing own workload, and others as required
* Support the Supplier Strategy with design and implementation of best practice controls, aligned with guidelines set by ITGC and OGC.
2. Financial Responsibilities
* Responsible for negotiating mid value contract changes and new services from vendors
3. Operational Responsibilities.
* Accountable for the development and improvement of methodologies and practices for vendor management in line with best practice.
* Responsible for ensuring appropriate governance is in place and effective in managing commercial relationships and assuring delivery of contractual services with vendors.
* Accountable for day to day contract support.
* Responsible for working with 3rd parties and finance colleagues to ensure all invoicing complies with the agreed contractual terms and conditions.
* Accountable for the regular production of SRM reports, including monthly/weekly KPI's, management reports, licensing MI and ad hoc licensing CI reports.
* Provide input to negotiations relating to new contracts and contract extensions; including support of any Benchmarking activities.
* Participation in service, contract and commercial reviews as required.
* Responsible for delivery of routine contractual change: from negotiation and drafting of agreements, through to signature.
* Accountable for the identification, assessment, management and reporting of commercial risks and issues related to their specified vendors
4. Stakeholders
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with the relevant stakeholders
* Responsible for managing complex stakeholder relationships
* Sets up and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders by effectively managing expectations and inspiring confidence in delivery
