Description
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):1.) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
2.) 3+ years using PL/SQL to write packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
3.) 2+ years of experience with Oracle 11g.
4.) 3+ years of experience with Oracle DDL.
5.) 3+ years of experience writing and tuning SQL queries.
6.) 2+ years of experience with source code control (SVN or CVS).
7.) 1+ years developing in an agile environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance):
1.) 5+ years using PL/SQL to write packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
2.) 5+ years of experience writing and tuning SQL queries.
3.) 3+ years working with CA Erwin and TOAD applications.
4.) 3+ years of experience with Oracle on UNIX.
5.) 5+ years of experience with Oracle DDL.
6.) 2+ years of experience with Oracle RAC.
7.) 2+ years of experience writing Shell Scripts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (listed in order of importance):
1.) Writing packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
2.) Optimizing the performance of new and existing SQL queries.
3.) Investigating and resolving data anomalies.
4.) Completing Oracle DDL tasks.
5.) Coordinating efforts with the application development team.
6.) Obtaining new data requirements from the client.
7.) Ability to be flexible and adaptable as part of a development team that will require completion of tasks that will cross the functional and technical aspects of projects.
8.) Document existing environments.
ANTICIPATED FIRST YEAR DELIVERABLES (listed in order of delivery):
1.) Complete knowledge acquisition of the team's existing projects.
2.) Complete assigned SQL development tasks.
3.) Provide on-going SQL development support to developers and QA testers.
4.) Develop a working knowledge of problem reporting system, REMEDY.
5.) Document existing systems as assigned.
