DESCRIPTION
An Email Marketing Operations Manager is needed for creating email content using HTML, CSS and a Documentum-based CMS. The consultant will work with suppliers to obtain assets for emails; ensuring timeliness and quality of all deliverables.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Quality checking customer lists for use in email campaigns
- Running test and production e-mail campaigns
- Generating campaign reports; analysing campaign effectiveness and communicating business results
- Monitoring and managing a group mailbox to gather, document and analyze customer feedback
- Supporting a marketing automation solution (targeted for implementation later this year)
- Creating web landing pages to support email marketing programs using HTML and CSS.
- Running test and production e-mail campaigns in support of multiple simultaneous interactive communications efforts.
- Code emails and landing pages using external editors (such as Dreamweaver and/or internal tools).
- Support execution of batch-and-blast campaigns in marketing automation and email management tools.
- Perform A/B testing of execution strategies to determine best approach; communicate findings and recommendations.
- Partner with Marketing colleagues & external vendors to obtain assets for emails and web pages; ensure timeliness and quality of all deliverables.
- HTML & CSS/EXPERT (Must not be reliant on templates, able to code from scratch.)
- SQL, preferably MS Access/EXPERT
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to present data in a meaningful way to clients./EXPERT
- Ability to think logically & critically when solving problems and considering process & platform improvements./EXPERT
- Strong MS Excel skills./INTERMEDIATE
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with automated marketing tools (eg Eloqua, Marketo, Neolane) ENTRY/INTERMEDIATE
- Minimum 3 years recent hands-on experience with email marketing & email campaign management, including building of HTML email and landing pages.
- Knowledge of best practices for creating emails and landing pages, dynamic content, testing methodologies, list segmentation, deliverability and CAN-SPAM laws.
- Minimum 2 years of recent hands-on experience with Eloqua Program Builder and/or Campaign Canvas (preferably with exposure to E10). DESIRED
- Familiarity with SalesForce.com. PREFERRED
