This department provides Product Development Quality Management; shepherding the quality aspects of the individual projects through their development life cycle, ensuring efficient and effective support for post release customer issues, as well as supporting quality improvement programs within the team.

Specific Position to be filled:
The open position will be to support an Engineering Organization in the following areas:

Product Development:
For product development projects, this role will be responsible for representing the voice of the customer by developing the quality management plan, tracking progress throughout the development life cycle, identifying and working to mitigate quality risks and then signing off at time of release. This will all be done under the prevailing organizational quality management practices using data analysis skills and the existing metrics.

Customer Issue Support:
For any post-launch Customer issues identified, this role ensures the appropriate activities are in place to root cause and develop a timely resolution to the issues. This includes driving others to timely execution.

Quality Improvement Program:
This role will support the organization's intent to drive continuous improvement throughout the product development life cycle. It will help identify areas which require improving, support the definition and deployment of strong quality practices.

    Position Requirements:
    Experience Level - 7 - 10 Years Skilled technologist whose focus is to ensure that quality control procedures and systems adequately evaluate an organization's processes and products. Determine if current methods and techniques result in meeting customer specifications and reliability standards or require modification. (More concerned with standards, methods and procedures rather than with testing devices and equipment used to check products.) Knowledge base for automotive quality systems and customer specific requirements will be required. Ability to communicate customer concerns and issues and timely resolution utilizing cross functional team members as appropriate. Background and/or ability to lead, mentor and supervision of Failure analysis and Quality Technicians may be required. Possess a basic understanding of materials and processes used in manufacturing of automotive electronics or similar technologies. Experience with working knowledge of SPC and problem solving tools highly desirable. Understanding and ability to work within Design of Experiment (DOE) formats. Familiar with minimum of ISO 9002 and preferably TS16949 requirements and Quality management Systems.
