Description
DESCRIPTIONA Field Network Support consultant is needed for performing site surveys for potential high-speed Internet service installations as well as surveys for technology and equipment upgrades.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and record solutions for HSIA for hotels, airports and related hot spots in the region, through an established site survey process
- Write and submit the Site Survey form and the Bill of Materials
- Work with internal and external customer groups (Sales, Project Management, contractors, ownership groups, etc) to develop and implement these solutions
- Work with existing properties to provide technical support and advice to resolve challenges
- May assist to complete regional projects from inception to successful implementation of data/voice cabling, WiFi connectivity, systems installations and line installations
- Communicate with property management to coordinate all site survey activities in such a way that activities do not interrupt the day-to-day business operation
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years working in a similar or related environment
- Must have an understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, etc)
- Must have an understanding of Ethernet technology, including cabling (CAT 3/5/6, etc)
- Wireless 802.11 experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Multitasking skills
- Heatmapping software experience
