Description
DESCRIPTIONThe Engineer will be responsible for a variety of activities, both specialized and large-scale, related to the RNC, MSN, LCP, uMGW Node-B and enode Bs. Focus on the Alcatel Lucent 3G & 4G RAN and MSC technology.
Responsibilities:
- Node B rehomes (re-parenting), RNC rehomes, IuR creation, IuXX link profile changes and other projects related to the RAN.
- Perform remote data translations in varying types of equipment and technologies (3G and 4G) to support our wireless infrastructure.
- Create and document methods and procedures, work within larger project teams, and create and test configuration scripts prior to implementation.
- Attend project calls and perform off hours work.
- Act as SME's as it relates to MSC's, RNC, Node B and eNode B translations.
- Must have experience with ALU 9370 RNC data translations provisioning.
- Experience with Alcatel/Lucent RNC, MSC, uMGW, ALU 9370 WIPs; WMS, WICL; IuCS, IuPS, IuR, IuB data translations a must.
- Hands on experience in a live network and knowledge of IP Networking required.
- Must have a solid understanding of 3G Network Elements.
- Knowledge of ALU and Tellabs MSN required.
- Must have hands on experience in creating work orders/scripts to build IuR links, IuCS links and IuPS links on the 9370 ALU RNCs.
- Must have working knowledge of using the WPS tool to support design and changes with node Bs, MSN, SIAD, and node re-reparenting.
- ATM or IP background and MSN provisioning experience is a plus.
