DESCRIPTION

The Presale Services Manager will establish project definition, select core team members, lead planning activities, secure resource commitments, monitor and track progress and manage performance to goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages the development of the services quoting portion of the presale process.
  • Coordinates departmental and cross-functional teams, focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals.
  • Ensures that services quotes are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics.
  • Participates in project review and status meetings, and communicates project status.
  • Utilizes six sigma and project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness.
  • May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.
  • Responsible for quoting life cycle services and providing this information to the Presale Business Manager for inclusion into the master costing Matrix sent to our financial teams.
  • Accountable for delivering results.

Qualifications:
  • Must have effective skills in project development using project management applications such as MS Project. This includes a clear understanding of system requirements to create a quality project plan, schedule and budget. (These project plans must be completed in compliance with all system requirements.)
  • Certifications are nice to have (ESI Masters Certificate in Projects management & PMP certification are both good indication of these abilities.)
  • Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Should be able to demonstrate an excellent ability to coordinate requirements and lead teams across a Matrix organization.
  • Required to interface with PM Resource Managers, Sales Manager, Engineering Managers, Presale Business Managers and Senior Territory Staff to effectively coordinate presale services activity.
  • Minimum of five years project management/life cycle services experience.
  • Ability to effectively analyze a Project P&L and identify improvement solutions.
  • Clear communications skills and the ability to effectively motivate teams efficiently to insure quality output while controlling cost.
  • Ability to analyze trends and forecast business results.
  • Demonstrated Project Management, Lifecycle Services and/or Engineering experience in Government and Public Safety market.
