DESCRIPTIONThe Project Manager will manage traditional transmission projects. Assigned projects are typically highly complex, multi-discipline in nature, multi stakeholder involvement, and elevated financial exposure profile requiring direct senior management communications.
Responsibilities:
- Take the necessary action to see that the projects are completed efficiently, on time and within the established budget.
- Work closely with the assigned project team to determine appropriate roles and responsibilities, review the transmission planning statements and develop a comprehensive project plan and schedule.
- Once the project scope, cost and schedule are determined, will then be responsible to see that the project plans/projects are executed to meet Transmission Business strategic plan.
- Coordinate the development of a detailed project budget, cash flow and project schedule.
- Responsible for the coordination of any regulatory approvals (federal, state and local) needed to begin construction.
- Responsible to coordinate the engineering, design and construction and close out of the project.
- Must have a four-year Engineering degree, BSEE or BSCE preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience leading cross functional teams is required, preferably in the utility industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other standard software.
- Experience developing project budgets.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Primavera or MS Project scheduling software required and the critical path method for project scheduling.
