DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Software Developer will design, develop, and implement software packages.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code.
- Assume day-to-day support for Baseline PassPort modules and interfaces. This includes data analysis and updates, and software modifications. Comply with change control requirements.
- Support Asset Management System PassPort, including problem investigation, code development, and data updates.
- Must have an understanding of MF tools as well as JCL Cobol/DB2/CICS experience.
- Working knowledge of SPUFI, QMF, or other SQL tools required.
- Must be familiar with MS Access/SQL, Excel.
- May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least ten years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience on IT projects from design through implementation.
- Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field (ie, SQL, C++, HTML, CGI and JavaScript).
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.
- Application support experience with Ventyx PassPort or Asset Suite or similar functional applications.
- Strong analytical skills for debugging software.
- Ability to recognize and work priorities.
- Understand Software Configuration controls in the project.
