Description
Solidworks Design Engineers - Expected Contract Duration - 3 months minimum,
Key areas: Chassis, Body in white (BIW), pressings/fabricated/welded assemblies, seating.
My client, a specialist vehicle manufacturer wish to appoint 2 experience Solidworks design contractors ASAP
1. To assist the Chief Engineer and/or Senior Design Engineers in the delivery of project/product line requirements.
2. Solid modelling and detailing of products using SolidWorks.
3. Control of Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD Models and Engineering Drawings.
4. Engineer to all appropriate product targets, eg cost, weight, strength, etc.
5. Assist in the generation of and deliver to project timing.
6. Ensure appropriate material selection.
7. Ensure manufacturing feasibility of product designs.
8. Work in accordance to ISO9000 procedures.
9. Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Chief Engineer.
Applications are invited from individuals who have significant Solidworks experience and who have worked for a number of years in the automotive industry. Experience of sheet metal, pressings. welded/fabricated assemblies will be of interest, as will experience of working on military/defence applications, especially military vehicles.
