Job Summary
To deliver a comprehensive expense management and financial control service to support the Savings Division in achieving its financial performance objectives. Maintain a comprehensive expense planning model, providing senior management with insightful analysis on the Division's performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the overall production of the planning and forecasting process for direct expenses and sales for the Savings Division. Ensure that the budgeting process operates effectively and efficiently and that achievable targets are agreed, challenged and aligned with business heads.
2. Manage the Savings overall month end process for expenses, and produce timely and insightful analysis relating to divisional performance against targets, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities to be presented to senior management.
3. Produce, analyse and report monthly cost/growth/scale metrics ie unit costs/allocated expenses/sales and highlight relevant trends, risks and opportunities, liaising with colleagues across the Savings Division to produce relevant analysis commentary.
4. Assist in the production of the wider Annual Plan & Forecast as required by Group to support the planning calendar and Executive Management and Board requirements.
5. Maintain and monitor relevant accounting entries as required by the central Savings team.
6. Ensure all analysis, decisions made and activity undertaken in fulfilling of this role considers the fair treatments of our customers.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant. They will have a strong financial management and control background in addition to experience of working to large scale, complex financial planning and reporting cycles. They will be capable of delivering value, whilst adding business information to support the achievement of financial objectives. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, in addition to the candidate's ability to display strong excel skills.
