seeking a Solutions Architect to provide oversight and technical leadership in implementing enterprise applications and integrating infrastructure solutions. The solutions architect is responsible for 'owning' the project-level deployment architecture to deliver multiple projects including but not limited to an ERP, Content Management/Collaboration, BI, and Datawarehouse technology. This role will operate within a highly Matrix environment which requires strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Specifically, you will:
- Collaborate with business partners and Enterprise Architecture to flush out system requirements
- Understand business requirements and translate these into innovative technical solutions.
- Provide oversight and coaching to Technical Leads to ensure alignment with technical product roadmaps
- Promote and enable the re-use of services, master data, and existing applications
- Ensure proper practices are followed for compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property policies
- Support the iERP program and projects delivery from an infrastructure and application architecture perspective, ensuring new technologies are successfully deployed and meet strict operational acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with technical component owners in designing technical infrastructure and application architecture methodologies.
- Experience capturing and evaluating non-functional system requirements
- Understanding of and experience in documenting Logical and Physical solution design models
- Experience capturing and analysing system requirements to identify appropriate infrastructure platform solutions
- Must be able to clearly articulate solution alternatives and trade-offs, and develop sound recommendations for end-to-end infrastructure technology solutions
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years as a Solutions Architect or Senior Systems Engineer
- 5+ years of Java or other Object Oriented programming language
- Experience designing complex business critical software solutions
- Strong background in design patterns
- Ability to lead in the following areas; Agile development methodologies, Iterative project life cycles
- Experience with the following technologies; Services Oriented Architecture
(SOA), ESB, Web Services, VMware, Windows Server, MS SQL Server,
SharePoint, YARDI, Active Directory, and Document Capture - Capability to model complex system interactions
- Strong Knowledge of Content Management Tools (SharePoint)
- Excellent communicator with experience delivering highly complex enterprise applications.
- Strong Knowledge of SharePoint Portal product and development patterns
- Must be able to produce thorough, comprehensive, detailed, high-quality
documentation using MS Office Suite; Visio and PowerPoint - Must possess strong initiative and be self-motivated
- Thorough understanding of enterprise scale network technologies - switch, Router, Firewall, and load-balancer
- Considerable expertise with breadth and depth in the areas of hardware and software infrastructure design and engineering is essential
