Position Description :
Need a Oracle Datawarehouse tuning DBA.
Certified Oracle professional in Oracle 10G.
Atleast 5 years experience in tuning multi terabyte Datawarehouse environments.
Excellent knowledge in tuning an OLAP system, to support both large data volume loads and reporting through BI tools.
Ability to tune both Oracle and recommend operating system and hardware configuration changes for performance and tuning of the system.
Minimum 5 years prior experience as an application and tuning DBA for DSS systems
Detailed technical knowledge on Dimensional Modeling and Star Schema design
Experience with ETL tools( Informatica preferred) and BI tools (Cognos preferred) and how they work with Oracle as a Datawarehouse Database
Required skills
Certified Oracle Professional in Performance management on multi- terabyte Datawarehouse
Extremely proficient in Oracle Architecture and concepts to support Data Warehouses (partitioning, Indexing, Parallelism, ASM, RMAN, Materialized Views, set based operations, DBMS_STAT)
Able to make assessment of Hardware (RAM, I/O, CPU) according to work load and volume of data
Tuning expertise in improving response time of BI reports for a user base of over 500 end
