Description
Summary:
Provide mechanical design experience including prototype concepts, layout designing detailing and simulating prototypes and troubleshooting. Oversee and support required equipment and facility maintenance within R&D. Perform general maintenance on operations for an R&D facility as appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide timely coordination and respond to R&D directors and managers requests for prototyping
2. M echanical/electrical design experience, including prototype concepts, layout, designing, detailing, simulation, prototyping and troubleshooting
3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on R&D facilities. This includes: disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating as appropriate .
4. Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components
5. Establish and maintain effective, commutative relationships with R&D Directors and Managers
Education/Lisence Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical school training preferred.
- Passing grade on PEAT (Pre-Employment Aptitude Test) required.
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Minimum of one to two years experience in a related field of work with technical school training, or two to three years without advanced training.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in computers and windows software strongly preferred.
Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and without close supervision.
Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
