Systems Analyst - Configuration Management- Risk - PnL - Rates
A Global Top tier Investment Bank are looking to hire a Systems Analyst/Configuration Manager to work within their Rates and PnL department.
Role Overview
System Analyst/Configuration Manager
The candidate will be required to work with senior business users to understand requirements for both BAU requests and the non development (ie analysis, configuration, enhancement, not significant Java/Oracle coding) aspects of major works and drive implementation of those requests end to end.
Main Duties
- Using detailed knowledge of interest rate products, risk and PnL calculation to drive analysis and solution design of requests, including across multiple locations.
- Prototyping/investigation of pricing issues using Excel & Analytics tools
- Implement solutions using extensive Excel and SQL skills along with a good ability to understand existing Java to configure new feeds and reports, execute test runs, work with consumers of the data and investigate issues as they arise.
- Close interaction with clients, developers, testers and project managers in multiple regions
- Clear status tracking and reporting of tasks in progress by the candidate and the resources under their control
- Coordination and driving of implementation
Person Requirements
- Strong Rates product and risk knowledge (Swaps, Bonds, Options, pricing, Greeks, PnL Explains etc)
- Strong SQL (preferably Oracle)
- Strong Excel
- Experience using Front Office pricing tools (eg Excel toolkits)
- Working knowledge of Java
- Experience delivering as part of a global team
- Ability to operate independently, proactively seeking out knowledge from all available sources and through self investigation
- Experience delivering projects for other regions and coordinating global deliveries
- Experience working with senior Front Office staff on requirements gathering and problem solving
- Experience with version control systems, preferably ClearCase
