The Senior Security Analyst will be primarily responsible for regulatory and corporate security compliance. This role will provide technical expertise and support to clients, IT management, and staff in risk assessments, implementation, and operational aspects of appropriate information security procedures and products. In addition, this role will participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse system environments (eg internal infrastructure, Client Server applications, Internet applications).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own day-to-day operations for the information security functions.
  • Collaborate with technology groups and the corporate security team on implementation of security best practices.
  • Contribute to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the client's information assets.
  • Benchmark IT security risk management practices; maintain current understanding of industry best practices, monitor legal and regulatory environment for developments that could require changes to established IT policies, standards and practices.
  • Partner with the technology and business stakeholders to facilitate IT security risk analysis and security risk management processes.
  • Identify acceptable levels of residual risk and assist in establishing roles and responsibilities related to information classification and protection.
  • Design, implement and manage new security services such as PKI and Middleware authentication/authorization as needed.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual risk assessment processes and documentation associated with regulatory and corporate standards.
  • Assist in oversight and monitoring of IT security risk mitigation strategies; coordinate with other departments to help ensure internal business units are taking effective remediation steps.
  • Review and conduct application-centric risk assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security or equivalent experience
  • Total of 10 years relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years Risk Management experience required in an Information Technology environment or related discipline (Information Security, Business Continuity Management or Compliance)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification required; SANS and other InfoSec related certification a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk Management and Security Architecture Reviews required
  • Knowledge and experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (CobiT) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
  • Superb communication, interpersonal skills and collaborative skills a must
  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal
