Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Fully support the safe, timely and cost effective delivery of EPC Water Delivery Projects which meet the required safety, quality and performance criteria.
- Be accountable, in conjunction with the Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer as applicable, for all activities associated with Mechanical Engineering within Water Delivery Team.
- Review documentation of the pre-commissioning and commissioning mechanical/piping activities, including commissioning procedures and Performance Testing.
- Coordinate agreement on engineering standards to be used and manage technical deviations.
- Perform audits of contractor workflows to ensure compliance against the contract documents
- Participate in FAT and SATs as necessary
- Coordinate the resolution of problems within the context of project management, ensuring that all project interface issues, both internally and with third parties, are defined and resolved in a timely and effective manner.
- Prepare technical and progress reports as requested to support flow of key information to management and joint venture partners to assist in decision making.
Selection Criteria:
- Technical professional with wide exposure to diverse technical and business environments
- Verifiable record in engineering and successful development and delivery of a number of green-field and brown-field projects with 5+ years experience
- Good understanding of process facilities mechanical/piping technologies, policies, with appropriate standards and guidelines
- Demonstrable commitment to HSSE, HSSE leadership and improvements to HSSE practice
- Demonstrable ability to identify and manage interfaces and to work closely alongside operations teams throughout FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning
- Experience in application of mechanical/piping engineering management practices and in value improvement tools and practices
- Tertiary qualifications applicable to the mechanical/piping engineering discipline
- Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution (preferred)
- Good interpersonal skills and self-motivated
- Strong communicator, able to state key goals and objectives, and present them clearly to the project team and to stakeholders
