Atlanta based Financial giant seeks has an immediate contract opening for a QA tester with automation experience, preferably with MicroFocus s Silk tool suite (Silk Central, Silk Performer and Silk Load). You will spend 70% of their time working on automation scripts and 30% of their time on manual testing. In addition, you will not only write new scripts and modify existing scripts, but also to mentor our staff who are not yet proficient with the tools. The applications that will be tested are Java based, and use web services.
Other experience for this position include:
- Ability to build and maintain test data sets.
- At least two to four years experience developing custom function/sub-routine libraries to support automated testing solutions.
- At least two to four years experience writing SQL statements.
- At least two to four years experience working on a quality assurance team.
- Ability to execute manual quality assurance test cases is required.
- At least two to four years experience writing VBA or Java is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of software development processes, and ability to apply critical thinking and investigation skills to identify root causes of software and system problems.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
