Description The release manager is responsible for achieving the objectives set by the board Release. She/He is responsible for coordination and monitoring of various teams that will realize the objectives. Monitor the coordination does not mean monitored in detail at the risk of losing the global vision but nevertheless knowledge of SAP functional and technical areas is essential to understand and take the organization ever upward.
Its responsibilities are:
1) Able to support and advise the business manager and demand in defining the scope of releases.
2) Able to define the scope and technical and to ensure compliance by all stakeholders.
3) Able to communicate the goals of the release to all stakeholders.
4) Encourage and monitor estimates of the various changes and prepare a plan and MSP rigorous deliverables in the releases. This chacunes for the teams involved.
5) Able to estimate the impact of changes on SAP solutions already in place.
6) Ability to establish and monitor performance indicators of the release management;
7) Establish an effective reporting to management.
8) Ability to facilitate communication between the functional teams, technical, release the board and other departments or teams
9) Manage all day to day operations in accordance with the methodologies and procedures including quality gates set up in our projects;
10) Able to organize and track test of the release;
11) Able to prepare and follow a detailed plan for cut-over as part of new releases.
technical skills Able to understand business requirements and functional HR and technical impact;
Good knowledge of SAP Netweaver with its possibilities and its architecture; Good IT skills including Microsoft Office Project; Good knowledge of ITIL and project methodology ( Prince 2 ...)
