POSITION SUMMARY:
We are the #1 Technology company in GA and we're currently searching for a Systems Developer responsible for development, maintenance, and support of our external portal platform. This platform contains a sophisticated service layer that manages external access to internal applications via HTTP/HTTPS protocol (externally originating HTTP data is consumed by the service layer, translated and shipped to internal applications and vice-versa). The software supports customers, partners, contractors and employees, as well as the Extranet. This role will also be responsible for integrating new applications into the Middleware framework.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Development experience with any of the following: WAMP, PHP, Javascript (the more the better).
- Development experience with HTML/DHTML.
- Extensive knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocol - how the protocol works, session management, request methods eg, get, put, post, etc.
- detailed understanding of the parts of mgs (eg, header, body, etc.).
- Windows - preferably 2003 experience.
- Strong trouble-shooting experience.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, when required.
- SQL (PL/SQL) experience.
- Experience with MySQL, ODBC.
- Application performance tuning experience.
- Experience with Content Management System (Joomla preferred).
- Oracle, JBoss, Tomcat experience.
