Global leader in Pharmaceutical Services with headquarters in RTP has 3 openings for Data Analysts.
Detailed Role & Responsibilities:
Seeking a Senior Level Data Analyst to participate in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a new, strategic, data-driven business platform. The primary responsibilities will center on data analysis in support of business data requirements definition, user acceptance testing and training activities. This candidate will work closely with a team of Business Analysts, Data Architects, ETL Developers, as well as the enterprise Data Factory to translate the requirements into technical data specifications, and ensure delivery of high quality data.
This is a customer-facing role, interact daily with the internal business partner. This is an individual contributor role where you lead projects, elicit requirements, ask probing questions, must be proficient with SQL, ability to delve into data looking for issues within the data model. Evaluate Data quality. With SQL do inner and outer joins, write SQL to extract data. You must be able to create data mapping documents. 12 month contract. Possibility to convert to FTE of client.
Additional responsibilities include
Translation of business data requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
* Identification of data sources for the required data attributes.
* Creating data maps to document data attributes to data sources and also data targets,
* Identifying and documenting data standardizations to be performed, data enrichment operations, data validations, data security requirements, and data exception handling processes
* Maintain current knowledge of data relationships and system interfaces.
Required Skills:
. 5 years of IT or equivalent experience including 3-5 years involvement in data warehousing projects.
* Bachelor*s degree, preferably in Computer Science.
* Experience in identifying and documenting business requirements in a Datawarehouse environment.
* Experience with master data management concepts and practices
* Experience with metadata management practices
* Experience with data profiling
* Highly proficient in writing SQL queries, in Oracle especially desired
* Working knowledge of data quality management principles and best practices
* Experience in development implementations, data modelling or data mapping efforts
* Knowledge of data provisioning applying various methods including, Web Services, data views, data exports, reports, etc
Desired:
. Experience with Agile development methods advantageous
* Knowledge of the Health & Life Sciences industry is a plus
