OVERVIEW:
- Manages Server Infrastructure, Local and Wide Area Networks in the assigned region
- Coordinates with internal and external resources to facilitate management of the regional SI/LAN/VM/ST/WAN
- Ensures Infrastructure standards for system uptime of the local data center are met and measure monthly
- Creates and manages project plans for the implementation of infrastructure projects in the assigned region
- Ensures that project goals are properly set and accepted by all participants
- Identifies resource requirements, project risks and reports these to management in a timely manner; tracks progress and reports variances of costs and times
- Assures that all SI, LAN, VM, ST, WAN, and server equipment configuration and operation conform to current client policies, procedures and process narratives as well as best practice
- Documents local process narratives; documents, corrects and communicates any variances from defined standard; identifies and recommends material improvement opportunities to management
- Prepares infrastructure changes including action plan, test plan, back out plan and end user communication; coordinates unit and systems testing; documents results of testing as part of a comprehensive test and risk mitigation planning process.
- Interacts with Application Services Team to provide technical support on Infrastructure Systems as well as troubleshooting application based issues wherever applicable
- Acts as a liaison between internal customers, suppliers and other IT team members to assure and client goals are being achieved
- Leads and works together with system administrators to solve helpdesk calls and technical issues
- Works with outsourced infrastructure and application teams to ensure client environment is meeting SLA's
- Participates actively in the Operational Excellence process and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities
- Manages local site contracts, interacting with IT OPS team lead to ensure the client has the best terms and conditions for all their contracts
- Implements and manages the IT KPI board
- Leads and mentors site system administrators to determine daily priorities, customer service prioritization and helpdesk monitoring
- Ensures that the data backup system, policies and procedures are compliant with company standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or local equivalent university degree
- Spoken and written communication skills in English
- Follow IT support model:
- Maintenance Windows
- After hours support
- Ability to travel (up to 30 %) and valid passport, ability to rent car
- Technical skills
- Linux 35 %
- VMware 35 %
- Windows 25 %
- Cisco 5 %
- At least one certification in the above areas.
- 5-7 years experience in SI, LAN, VM, ST and WAN administration
- Ability to lead junior level team members
This contract is expected to be 3 months in duration.
