We are seeking Software Test Engineer II for a 6 month contract position in Duluth, GA.

Position required to perform SelfServ Checkout software solution testing; Conduct system integration testing of SelfServ Checkout applications

Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience with integrated hardware/software solutions 2-5 years of related experience
Have a strong desire for quality, and an attention to detail;
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; MS Office tools
Adjusts to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change;
Accepts and adapts to new or alternative approaches
Ability to work effectively in a team environment composed of peers and cross-functional members worldwide
Judgment skills needed to assess high-risk areas of a system problem, on which to focus efforts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience with testing, installing or supporting retail solutions
Experience with Windows XP, VMWare
Full development life cycle exposure
Experience with point-of-sale peripherals and device installation/management.

Responsibilities:

Verify fixes provided by developers to software issues found during testing; Perform software patch testing for field related issues; Communicate daily testing status to management and technical leads/key developers;
Support test case development and update activities; Support other test, development and professional services team members on testing activities
Position will work on projects of medium to high complexity, and exercise judgment within defined procedures & practices to determine appropriate action
Responsible for participating in user requirements documentation reviews and walkthroughs to ensure testability; Ensuring project team understands testing process; Generating a test plan to ensure that test cases cover the entire scope of stories delivered by software development; Maintaining multiple test environments; Constructing automated integration and system test cases, which provide optimal coverage and promote re-use of software components
Responsible for conducting automated and manual acceptance, integration and system tests and tracking problems; Diagnosing, isolating, and implementing remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code, using knowledge of system characteristics and utilizing software based system maintenance and tracking tools
Responsible for defining the overall test plan for the projects they are assigned to, in conjunction with the software project teams; Auditing the early stages of the development life cycle until Unit/Component Test Complete; Defining and executing an effective integration test plan, including supporting documentation. Building and developing knowledge of available test practices and tools; Develop and maintain product knowledge
Position will have some customer-facing responsibility in the testing phase and may require domestic or international travel - up to 10%
