The Company
This is a well known, ASX listed media organisation based in Sydney CBD. They are a household name with a presence in online, TV, Radio, and print. The digital arm of this organisation seeks a passionate and strong technical Java/J2EE developer to join their project team and assist with the development of web application surrounding this project.
The Role
As an experienced Java/J2EE Developer, you will be expected to report through to the Project Manager of this group, as well as the Technical Lead for the project. You will be involved in end to end development of the project, focused on the Java/J2EE technical stack.
You will be involved in scrum stand ups, and be given the opportunity to liaise with internal stakeholders in line with the progress of the project. This includes Business Analysts, Testers, and the Project Manager.
You may also be given the opportunity to complete documentation where required.
Required Skills and Experience
The right Java/J2EE Developer will have the following:
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Java/J2EE development
- In depth knowledge and experience with Core Spring, Spring MVC, and Spring WebFlow
- Strong experience with one or more application Servers
- Strong experience with the full SDLC
- Solid Build experience using Maven, Subversion, GIT, and Continuous Integration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Any experience with Java Swing and Eclipse RCP will also be highly regarded.
