GREAT contract to perm opportunity to work as a SharePoint Administrator. The selected Candidate will work to fully support our company Intranet. This position is based out of Atlanta, GA.

Position Description:
Creation and maintenance of sites and site collections.
Migration of Legacy sites and data to SharePoint 2010.
Technical/architecture configuration, access control, change control, routine maintenance (Server Side), and end user support.
Qualification, installation and maintenance of various plugins, web parts, templates and 3rd party applications.
Establish and maintain end user access policy and permissions.
Establish and maintain best practices and best use scenarios, and partner with internal communications to communicate those best practices to site owners.
Implement and maintain user profile properties including MySites functionality.
Implement industry best practices for SharePoint infrastructure in an existing environment. 
Make recommendations on technology enhancements to better the SharePoint environment. 
Work with highly available SharePoint services. 
Establish standards and governance for SharePoint sites. 
Create standardized site templates for use in SharePoint.

Qualifications/Skills:
Experience administering SharePoint and 2010 to include the following: installing and configuring large server farm topology; applying patches, service packs and infrastructure updates; creating, configuring, and maintaining Shared Service Providers to enable and enhance site search functionality; supporting DBAs and developers in deployment of SharePoint related solutions (eg custom web parts).
IIS 6, 7 and 7.5 management and performance tuning. 
Management of SharePoint databases in SQL server according to industry best practices. 
SQL database maintenance plan management. 
Strong skills in Microsoft Server administration and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint environment including Central Administration, Web Front Ends (WFE), Shared Service Providers (SSP) and other SharePoint-centric application Servers and services.
Experience with MOSS Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery.
Experience administering user security in the MOSS environment including the use of SharePoint and Active Directory groups.

Desired Skills:
Strong organization and communications skills.
Ability to interface with clients and gather requirements and facilitate meetings.
Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) with a focus on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server MOSS 2007.
SharePoint Developer skills such as application development and custom coding would be a plus, but are not required. Also, the ability to setup and configure Excel Services would be desirable, as this is an option we may be looking to upgrade to in the future.
