Description
We are a web development firm based in Toronto working on several projects. We are looking for a full time PHPdeveloper to assist and take over core aspects of a single web application we're working on.
We have a very informal office environment with very flexible hours. The atmosphere is what you would expect in
an early stage start-up.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid knowledge of PHP
- Solid knowledge of jQuery, CSS and HTML
- Experience with MySQL
- LN(nginx)MP stack familiarity
- Experience with messaging queues such as Beanstalk, Gearman, etc
- Familiarity with memcached
- Past experience with video encoding software (ffmpeg) and distributed systems is a huge benefit
- Experience with creating and consuming RESTful APIs
- Decent knowledge of linux (ubuntu)
- Experience with source control (SVN)
- Ability to research and learn new technologies to solve problems
