Description
My client has recently embarked on a large scale transformation programme to double in size; they will be strengthening their already prevalent Australian presence whilst simultaneously growing their APAC presence. As part of this large programme of work, they require an experienced Murex developer to complement the team responsible for a critical reformation project.
The successful candidate will be part of an elite team of Murex specialists who consult with users of the platform in order to integrate the new requirements and implementing the necessary system upgrades. They will need to be able to understand the business needs in order to ensure that all the proposed technical solutions are appropriate. They will also need solid communication skills as they will be liaising with Business Analysts as well as the vendor(s) to determine the optimal processes for integration and implementation of the new solutions.
This is a highly business-visible role requiring the successful candidate to be a hand-on team player.
Requirements of the role:
- Strong Java development skills
- Strong Murex experience in either or all of the following scenarios:
- Integrations
- Upgrades
- Implementations
- Strong technical background in MxML, Perl/Shell Scripting, SQL, Unix, MxML
- Ability to understand, analyse, and propose improvements to existing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Knowledge and understanding of all or any of the following:
- Commodities
- FX Products
- Credit Derivatives
- Clearing and Settlements
