Finance Manager X2- Refranchising- Franchise Agreements- Rail

Finance Manager X2 with strong financial management experience and ideally understanding of the rail industry finances and Franchise Agreements principles is urgently needed to work on a large scale government rail refranchising programme.

The Finance Manager X2 will be responsible for managing the completion of a number of refranchising transactions by engaging with internal advisors, Policy teams whilst informing the Invitation to Tender to include financial modelling and contractual requirements. The Finance Manager will lead a team of 5 to support the financial evaluation of bids from contractualisation stage to transferring the franchise to the franchise management team.

- A strong background within finance management with specialist finance knowledge.
- A qualified Accountant or other relevant qualification or relevant commercial experience.
- The ability to prepare a detailed 'Long Form Report' to support bidder's financial assumptions.
- Advanced ability to gather, assess, analyse and interpret commercial and technical information through financial models and due diligence exercises.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with the ability to present complex financial information.
- Excellent experience in the in the analysis of financial models and their contractual implications.
- The Ability to quantify financial and operational risks in a bid environment.

- Knowledge of procurement and specification processes within the rail sector.
- Knowledge of the rail industries finances and Franchise Agreement principles.
