General Summary:
Provides services in support of campus-approved computer hardware and software within the guidelines of college and departmental policies and procedures. Reports to the user services manager or other designated person and works with co-workers, faculty, staff, students, outside technical support personnel, and vendors to provide technical and desktop support to the computing community at Agnes Scott.
Essential Job Functions
Requirements
Education: Two-year college or trade/technical school degree in related occupational field of study.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years work experience with other employers, plus 6 months training time at ASC, for a total of 1-3 years.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience and proficiency in microcomputer systems and associated software in a networked academic environment to include: Apple and Intel hardware; Window and OS X operating systems
- Good problem solving, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to maintain confidentiality.
Other:
- On-call hours are required.
Physical Demands
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office.
