Our client a multi-disciplinary global consultancy offering a full array of integrated services are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team based in West Yorkshire on a 12 month contract basis.
The successful candidate will be involved in designing, managing and implementing the delivery of leading edge programmes and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to profit, timeliness and quality and technical standards to meet with their clients expectations.
- Prepare and manage projects, proposals and tenders.
- Full understanding of contractual obligations and lead the team to deliver what we have promised to deliver. The project must meet or exceed our clients budgeted financial performance goals. These goals will be collaboratively agreed between the Business Unit Leader, Senior Project Manager and the Project Manager before commencement of each project.
- Determine clients needs and achieve the results to meet or exceed clients expectations.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) with a relevant degree and gained Chartership with your relevant professional body ie Chartered Engineer. It is desirable that you have an appropriate project management qualification, such as MAPM.
- A clear understanding of the work programme and the contribution expected of you and your colleagues and be committed to deliver the agreed work plan to the timescale and standards required.
- An understanding of the processes in place to deliver streams of work and ensure that manager and others are kept informed of the potential for significant changes to the work plan - unexpected delays or outcomes, changes in resource requirements, an inability to gain commitment from other key contributors.
- Previous experience working within the water/infrastructure sector would be desirable and candidates who have gained Project Management experience working for a consultancy will also be considered.
