Description
We are seeking a software test engineer To work on our client site in Philadelphia, PA. Selected individual should have expertise testing enterprise applications executing within a highly distributed environment. The successful candidate will be "thick skin" and aggressive in getting the job done. Will be responsible to ensure code is good before it gets to QA so MUST be able to set up the proper scripts to make this happen. Will use an internal tool for Scripting which selected individual will be trained on how to use.
We are particularly interested in an individual with a documented and successful track record in the following areas:
- Converting requirements and design artifacts into a suite of functional tests that cover fully all functional execution paths identified in the documentation. This includes a specification of test pre-conditions, test data, and expected results across the entire system.
- Scaling this test suite so that it is reusable, maintainable, and adaptable in the face of changes to the underlying software system.
- Building test data in a manner that supports a reusable suite of test scripts.
- Executing tests efficiently, without error, and without false defect reports.
- Demonstrated experience in testing enterprise applications that execute within a message-driven and distributed environment mediated by MQ messaging and web services technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment is a MUST.
- Demonstrated experience in testing web-based user interface applications.
- Experience with test automation with respect to the UI and/or message-driven Back End is highly desirable.
- Experience with financial services and international correspondent banking is desirable.
