Senior Cobol Developer (who can also write technical documentation)

Description

• Cobol programming
• Testing
• Writing technical documentation of the existing system as well as updating it.

• Bug fixing, emergency fixes, small functional enhancements for systems which are mainly batch oriented.
• Writing technical documentation for the systems for which hardly documentation exists. Well documented code is available.
• The work will be done in a small team; two developers and one Information Analyst/Functional Designer/Project Coordinator. Several specialists, who are formally not part of the team, are involved too, like DBA's, Change Management, Problem Managers, users.
• First 8 weeks full time to write technical documentation, then 2 days per week (Monday and Friday). Furthermore full time when the employee is not present. Currently expected: 4 weeks in August.
• Being on call on 28th of May, 24th of December, 31st of December

• Programming using Cobol, TSO, CICS, DB2 on Mainframe
• Writing technical documentation

• Quality Center of Mercury/HP, XML, FTP, Managed File Transfer of Stonebranch

• Experienced in working in a large organization.
• Ability to work in a multilingual and multicultural environment
• Able to work in a team and has the ability to work on own responsibility.
• English, both orally and in writing.
