SQL Server/Application DBA
Our client is a Global company with operations in Kildare (Leixlip). They currently have a requirement for an experienced SQL/Application DBA to join their team on a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension.
Technical Skills:
- Strong SQL Server/Application DBA, with excellent relational databases design, development, and tuning.
- Strong knowledge of SQL querying, T-SQL,and ODBC connectivity with the ability to reuse/develop/tailor SQL.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with data visualization engines, preferably MS Reporting Services
- Strong O/S knowledge and practical experience of supporting Windows/VMware platforms, working on server/client environments, databases and applications in a production environment.
- Experience with software development - full application development life cycle, knowledge of data & application integration concepts and Middleware implementation.
- Ability to consult among groups including network, IT Security, database, desktop and Middleware to integrate and apply new architectures and technologies.
- Assist and lead the resolution of complex data problems for large/complex projects.
- Data transfer tools (ETL) experience, preferably in Informatica.
- Knowledge and experience of Datawarehouse design.
