This is an opportunity to show case your helpdesk and customer service skills and continue to develop in an excellent IT environment that embraces much of latest technology around today including ITIL methodologies. The primary responsibility of the role is to provide 1st level IT support from the logging to resolution stage of incidents and requests.
This global organisation is looking for candidates with:
- Excellent knowledge of Desktop technical support, MS Exchange, MS Office and bespoke application support
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills, and a sense of humour
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a customer focused support role
- Experience using ITIL compliant call logging tools such as HP Open View or similar
- Knowledge of ITIL processes - Foundation certification will be highly regarded
- Microsoft certification will also be highly regarded
Whilst being ITIL and Microsoft certified is advantageous the most imperative skill besides having strong MS skills is your ability to receive and record service desk incidents and tasks promptly, courteously and accurately. You need to be able to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, desktop operating system and network technical issues when required.
