For one of our clients we are looking for a IT Category Procurement ManagerTask Description:
We have several clients for which we are doing IT Procurement work as part of a larger procurement engagement
Main task:
Lead strategic sourcing project teams to ensure commodity knowledge is applied to all sourcing engagements, and to ensure that clients receive a consistent level of expertise
Identify sourcing projects / opportunities
Lead sourcing events
Negotiate price and terms / conditions with vendors
Required skills:
-Minimum 10 years strategic sourcing/procurement experience, specifically in the IT category
-Excellent communication and client service skills
-Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills Deep strategic sourcing experience preferred in all of the following IT spend areas:
• Software
• Hardware
• Telecommunications
• Hosting
-Implementation / Development Service
-Technical procurement background
-Consulting industry experience
Nice to have skills:
• MBA preferred
• CPM and/or CPIM certification preferred
Location: Various locations within Europe, mainly Italy and UK
Start: May 2012
